41:12

Then He completed them(as) sevenheavensintwo periodsand He revealedineachheavenﱊﱋits affairAnd We adornedthe heaven[the world]with lampsﱐﱑand (to) guardThat(is the) Decree(of) the All-Mightythe All-Knower(12)

So He formed the heaven into seven heavens in two Days, assigning to each its mandate. And We adorned the lowest heaven with ˹stars like˺ lamps ˹for beauty˺ and for protection. That is the design of the Almighty, All-Knowing.”1

41:13

But ifthey turn awaythen sayI have warned you(of) a thunderboltlike(the) thunderbolt(of) Aadand Thamud(13)

If they turn away, then say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I warn you of a ˹mighty˺ blast, like the one that befell ’Ȃd and Thamûd.”

41:14

Whencame to themthe Messengersfrom before themfrom before themfrom before themand frombehind them(saying) "Do notworshipexceptﱬﱭAllahThey saidIf(had) willedour Lordsurely, He (would have) sent downAngelsSo indeed, wein whatyou have been sentwith(are) disbelievers(14)

The messengers had come to them from all angles, ˹proclaiming,˺ “Worship none but Allah.” They responded, “Had our Lord willed, He could have easily sent down angels ˹instead˺. So we totally reject what you have been sent with.”

41:15

Then as forAadthey were arrogantinthe landﱿwithout[the] rightand they saidWho(is) mightierthan usﲅﲆ(in) strengthDo notthey seethatAllahthe One Whocreated themHe(is) Mightierthan themﲐﲑ(in) strengthBut they used toin Our Signsdeny(15)

As for ’Ȃd, they acted arrogantly throughout the land with no right, boasting, “Who is superior to us in might?” Did they not see that Allah ˹Himself˺, Who created them, was far superior to them in might? Still they persisted in denying Our signs.

41:16

So We sentupon thema windfuriousin(the) days(of) misfortunethat We may make them taste(the) punishment(of) disgraceinthe lifeﲢﲣ(of) the worldAnd surely, (the) punishment(of) the Hereafterﲦﲧ(is) more disgracingand theywill not be helpedwill not be helped(16)

So We sent against them a furious wind,1 for ˹several˺ miserable days, to make them taste a humiliating punishment in this worldly life. But far more humiliating will be the punishment of the Hereafter. And they will not be helped.

41:17

And as forThamudWe guided thembut they preferred[the] blindnessoverthe guidanceso seized thema thunderbolt(of) the punishmenthumiliatingfor whatthey used toearn(17)

As for Thamûd, We showed them guidance, but they preferred blindness over guidance. So the blast of a disgracing punishment overtook them for what they used to commit.

41:18

And We savedthose whobelievedand used toﲿfear (Allah)(18)

And We delivered those who were faithful and were mindful ˹of Allah˺.

41:19

And (the) Daywill be gathered(the) enemies(of) Allahtothe Firethen theywill be assembled in rows(19)

˹Consider˺ the Day ˹when˺ the enemies of Allah will be gathered for the Fire, all driven in ranks.

41:20

Untilwhenwhenthey come to it(will) testifyagainst themtheir hearingand their sightand their skins(as) to whatthey used todo(20)

When they reach it, their ears, eyes, and skin will testify against what they used to do.1
