ﱁWhichﱂweighed uponﱃyour backﱄ(3)

which weighed so heavily on your back,

94:4

ﱅAnd We raised highﱆfor youﱇyour reputationﱈ(4)

and elevated your renown for you?1

94:5

ﱉSo indeedﱊwithﱋthe hardshipﱌ(is) easeﱍ(5)

So, surely with hardship comes ease.

94:6

ﱎIndeedﱏwithﱐthe hardshipﱑ(is) easeﱒ(6)

Surely with ˹that˺ hardship comes ˹more˺ ease.1

94:7

ﱓSo whenﱔyou have finishedﱕthen labor hardﱖ(7)

So once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺,

94:8

ﱗAnd toﱘyour Lordﱙturn your attentionﱚ(8)

turning to your Lord ˹alone˺ with hope.

95:1

ﱛBy the figﱜand the oliveﱝ(1)

By the fig and the olive ˹of Jerusalem˺,

95:2

ﱞAnd (the) MountﱟSinaiﱠ(2)

and Mount Sinai,

95:3

ﱡAnd thisﱢ[the] cityﱣ[the] secureﱤ(3)

and this secure city ˹of Mecca˺!1

95:4

ﱥIndeedﱦWe createdﱧmanﱨinﱩ(the) bestﱪmouldﱫ(4)

Indeed, We created humans in the best form.

95:5

ﱬThenﱭWe returned himﱮ(to the) lowestﱯ(of the) lowﱰ(5)

But We will reduce them to the lowest of the low ˹in Hell˺,

95:6

ﱱExceptﱲthose whoﱳbelieveﱴand doﱵrighteous deedsﱶthen for themﱷ(is a) rewardﱸneverﱹendingﱺ(6)

except those who believe and do good—they will have a never-ending reward.

95:7

ﱻThen whatﱼcauses you to denyﱽafter (this)ﱾthe judgmentﱿ(7)

Now, what makes you deny the ˹final˺ Judgment?

95:8

ﲀIs notﲁAllahﲂ(the) Most Justﲃ(of) the Judgesﲄ(8)

Is Allah not the most just of all judges?

96:1

ﲅReadﲆin (the) nameﲇ(of) your Lordﲈthe One Whoﲉcreated ﲊ(1)

Read, ˹O Prophet,˺ in the Name of your Lord Who created—

96:2

ﲋHe createdﲌmanﲍfromﲎa clinging substanceﲏ(2)

created humans from a clinging clot.1

96:3

ﲐReadﲑand your Lordﲒ(is) the Most Generousﲓ(3)

Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous,

96:4

ﲔThe One Whoﲕtaughtﲖby the penﲗ(4)

Who taught by the pen—

96:5

ﲘTaughtﲙmanﲚwhatﲛnotﲜhe knewﲝ(5)

taught humanity what they knew not.1

96:6

ﲞNayﲟIndeedﲠmanﲡsurely transgressesﲢ(6)

Most certainly, one exceeds all bounds

96:7

ﲣThatﲤhe sees himselfﲥself-sufficientﲦ(7)

once they think they are self-sufficient.

96:8

ﲧIndeedﲨtoﲩyour Lordﲪ(is) the returnﲫ(8)

˹But˺ surely to your Lord is the return ˹of all˺.

96:9

ﲬHave you seenﲭthe one whoﲮforbidsﲯ(9)

Have you seen the man who prevents

96:10

ﲰA slaveﲱwhenﲲhe praysﲳ(10)

a servant ˹of Ours˺ from praying?1

96:11

ﲴHave you seenﲵifﲶhe isﲷuponﲸ[the] guidanceﲹ(11)

What if this ˹servant˺ is ˹rightly˺ guided,

96:12

ﲺOrﲻhe enjoinsﲼ[of the] righteousnessﲽ(12)

or encourages righteousness?
