106. QurayshQuraysh

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

106:1

For (the) familiarity(of the) Quraish(1)

˹At least˺ for ˹the favour of˺ making Quraysh habitually secure—

106:2

Their familiarity(with the) journey(of) winterand summer(2)

secure in their trading caravan ˹to Yemen˺ in the winter and ˹Syria˺ in the summer—

106:3

So let them worship(the) Lord(of) thisHouse(3)

let them worship the Lord of this ˹Sacred˺ House,

106:4

The One Whofeeds them[from](against) hungerand gives them securityfromfear(4)

Who has fed them against hunger and made them secure against fear.1

107. Al-Ma'unThe Small kindnesses

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

107:1

Have you seenthe one whodeniesthe Judgment(1)

Have you seen the one who denies the ˹final˺ Judgment?

107:2

Then that(is) the one whorepulsesthe orphan(2)

That is the one who repulses the orphan,

107:3

And (does) notfeel the urgetofeedthe poor(3)

and does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

107:4

So woeto those who pray(4)

So woe to those ˹hypocrites˺ who pray

107:5

Those who[they]abouttheir prayers(are) neglectful(5)

yet are unmindful of their prayers;

107:6

Those who[they]make show(6)

those who ˹only˺ show off,

107:7

And they deny[the] small kindnesses(7)

and refuse to give ˹even the simplest˺ aid.1

108. Al-KawtharThe Abundance

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

108:1

Indeed, WeWe have given youAl-Kauthar(1)

Indeed, We have granted you ˹O Prophet˺ abundant goodness.1

108:2

So prayto your Lordand sacrifice(2)

So pray and sacrifice to your Lord ˹alone˺.

108:3

Indeedﱿyour enemy he (is)the one cut off(3)

Only the one who hates you is truly cut off ˹from any goodness˺.
